Thumb Bilingual Daycare
Program
Our program is designed to enhance each child's skills and development. We offer a unique Chinese immersion program and teach language, math, science, music, art, and practical life skills. Each activity is designed to stimulate children physically, emotionally, socially, and intellectually, while enhancing their fine and gross motor skills. Each learning area will encourage children to develop their skills and confidence.
CHINESE
Chinese language and culture are important parts of the daily curriculum. Children will learn how to read and write in a Chinese immersion environment, which include daily communication, storytelling, singing and performance.
ENGLISH
Our children will develop English readiness with daily English classes. We hire native English speakers as teachers who incorporate play and fun into each class. Our English teachers also enjoy reading stories and teaching new songs.
SCIENCE
Our program incorporates science, from baking to nature walks, which helps children’s observation skills and let them discover more about the world we live in.
MATH
We work with children in small groups with concrete material such as beads and blocks to help them understand numbers, classify objects, and describe their work using various attributes such as size, color, shape, number, graphs, etc.
MUSIC
Give children a chance to experiment with music, enhance listening skills, and use the most powerful instrument: their voices! Kids who grow up hearing music, singing songs, and moving to the beat are enjoying what experts call "a rich sensory environment."
ART
Art is an integral part of the Thumb Daycare curriculum. Children will understand and remember the relationship, concepts, and strategies that they acquire through following a set procedure for projects as well as free expression using watercolor, finger paint, clay, pencils, markers, and crayons.
